Donna Thompson releases her new single 'Be With You', a melancholic jazz track about the aches of a long distant relationship. After a period of musical inactivity Donna is back with a debut EP Something True set to be released 22nd July via PRAH Recordings, check out her previous single from the record Matchstick. Over a slow repetitive piano loop and gently swelling strings, she sings about the loneliness of yearning and how much this was exacerbated over the past few years: "Like a lot of people, I found it hard not being able to connect with loved ones during the lockdowns. My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and it was really hard, missing him all the time and feeling restless. As things started to open up, I found myself increasingly busy and less time being spent together meant my mind is often on him despite not being around him." -Toby Evans-Jesra
